APPLE CIDER VINEGAR REMEDIES FOR HOUSEHOLD USE

Apple cider vinegar remedies can disinfect your home, improve your health and even be used in home beauty treatments!

Distilled white vinegar is the best choice for non-toxic cleaning as it will not stain. On the contrary it has the ability to remove stains and even hard water build up. A good rule of thumb is to use white vinegar on anything except yourself, use distilled apple cider vinegar externally on your body and use organic apple cider vinegar for medicinal internal purposes.

Vinegar is 5% acetic acid which gives it great antiseptic properties. Oraganic apple cider vinegar has many minerals (especially potassium), vitamins, enzymes, fiber and antioxidants. It’s also low in fat and sodium.

APPLE CIDER VINEGAR REMEDIES FOR CLEANING

ALL PURPOSE CLEANER – Mix 2 parts water with one part vinegar in a spray bottle then add a couple drops of liquid dish detergent. Shake it up and use for cleaning stainless steel, countertops, sinks and even windows!

CUTTING BOARDS – Use full strength to disinfect cutting boards.

VINEGAR FABRIC SOFTENER – Add 1 cup vinegar to the final rinse cycle in your washing machine. This will not only soften your clothes but reduce static, make your whites brighter and even disinfect! Don’t worry about the smell it’ll be gone by the time your clothes are dry.

CLOGGED SHOWERHEAD – Find a bag to fit around your showerhead, fill it with vinegar and use twist ties to hold it over the head. Let it soak in the vinegar overnight and by morning your shower will be like new!

STINKY OR SLOW DRAINS – Pour 1/4 cup of baking soda in the drain then add 1/2 to 1 cup of vinegar. Let it work its magic and when it stops fizzing flush with hot water. Get for garbage disposals too!

FRUIT FLY HOME REMEDY – Use a small jar (canning jar is great) and poke some holes in the lid. Fill 1/4 the jar with vinegar and leave on your counter. Nearly an instant trap!
